I had an incredible stay at this house. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the attention to detail and love that has been put into making this space special. The modern and well-isolated design, along with the charming personal antiques, created a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The owner was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. The location was absolutely mesmerizing, with stunning views of the river, horses, and snowy mountains from the deck. It was a peaceful retreat where I could only hear the sounds of birds chirping. The house was also very well equipped, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the hotel facilities, cleanliness, and ample parking space were all commendable. I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this place to others.
Can't fault anything about it.

We had an amazing stay at a cozy and well-prepared accommodation in Iceland. The host, Trausti, warmly welcomed us and even gave us a tour of his farm and introduced us to his beautiful horses. The location was perfect, with breathtaking views and the convenience of being between Selfoss and Hveragdi. The separate house with a living room and two bedrooms was perfect for our family, and the fully-equipped kitchen and large bathroom were a bonus. We enjoyed privacy and the feeling of being at home. I highly recommend this property for a memorable stay in Iceland.

Free parking, garden views, and WiFi! I could enjoy the scenic views, park my car for free, and stay connected at all times. Perfect for the modern traveler like me.
Oh, I just hated how everything was so perfect and convenient. It's like they actually wanted me to have a good time.

We were warmly greeted and immediately felt at home. The decor was lovely and everything was spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed the personal touch of being shown the stable and meeting the horses. It was a great opportunity to learn more about them. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped.
There were no negative aspects to our stay.

The room at Gamla Husith - The Old House was cozy and comfortable, with a lovely rustic charm that made me feel right at home. I loved the bathroom with its shower, bath, and hairdryer, perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring. The electric kettle, toaster, and tea/coffee maker in the room were a great convenience, ensuring I could enjoy a hot drink anytime.
While the room had an electric kettle, I would have appreciated having a few more kitchen amenities available.

Loved everything about the property! Super host Trausti made us feel right at home. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, the place was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom with the tub and washer was a great bonus. The views were jaw-dropping, and the location was perfect for exploring Iceland. The house is nestled on a farm with Icelandic ponies nearby. The owner's warm welcome and history of the space added to the charm. The horses outside our window were a delightful surprise. The house itself was beautifully decorated and well-equipped. Ample parking was available. We didn't want to leave after our three-night stay. Countless activities nearby including hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and golf. The peacefulness of the location was perfectly complemented by the outdoor dining area. Pets are allowed, and there is no smoking on site. Can't wait to return for a longer stay in this home away from home.

The room at Gamla Husith - The Old House was cozy and comfortable, with a homey feel that instantly made me feel relaxed. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, from the electric kettle and toaster to make my morning tea and toast, to the hairdryer in the bathroom for quick and easy grooming. It was like having a little home away from home!
I would have preferred a bathroom with both a shower and a bath, but that's just my personal preference. Others may still find it convenient and enjoyable.
